The Institute has been aligning with industry partners to provide much needed services to you and your clients and recently announced Houspect as a preferred supplier of Building Indemnity Reports for your clients. Further to this, the Institute is delighted to announce that once again JLT with QBE Insurance, have put together a package for AICWA Members clients in need of Owner Builder Home Indemnity Insurance. It is a requirement that Owner Builders obtain Home Indemnity insurance before on selling their property (within seven years of taking out a building license), but are often unaware of this requirement until informed by their Settlement Agent. The Institute has aligned with Houspect to provide Building Reports and QBE Insurance through JLT to provide Owner Builder Insurances to your clients. Often there is an urgent need for this insurance to be put in place to avoid delay of the settlement; both providers have assured the Institute of a rapid service for AICWA Members clients.A fax form for Houspect is available on the “news and info” drop down menu... simply ask your clients to complete and fax directly to Houspect at the number on the form. Houspect will then provide your client with a building report within 24 hours, making less work for you and your client.QBE and JLT have agreed to work closely with Houspect to then provide the Owner Builder Insurance within 24 hours of receipt of the report and a complete application.
To arrange the Insurance please inform your client to fax the JLT Home Indemnity Insurance form (available on the “news and info” drop down menu) to JLT. Building Inspections:
